Music EduCATION
Thomas Murphy teaches general music at San Tan Elementary and was named the 2017 Higley USD Teacher of the Year. He has served as the Director of Percussion of the Phoenix Youth Symphony, Chapter-President of AZ Percussive Arts Society and Chapter-President of AZ Orff Association.
As an Orff clinician, he has presented in Arizona, California, New York and the American Orff-Schulwerk National Conference. He strives to encourage student creativity through composition. He is available for professional development workshops.
Percussion
Thomas Murphy has performed with musical theaters, professional orchestras, choirs, worship teams, rock bands and jazz combos. As a musician, he has performed with The Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Musicfest, West Valley Symphony, Sonoran Desert Chorale, and The Phoenix Theater Company.
